Does anyone put awesome ship wreck decorations in their tank?

My wife wanted to put a bubbling reasure chest in my SPS tank...this isn't going to end well regardless of the final decision.

Was discussed some here, not sure if he actually done it:

That's funny. Those are cute in freshwater aquariums for little kids.

Always seem like the aquarium equivalent of putting balls on your truck.

No need to make anything, you can just buy these.... http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=19758&cmpid=03cseYY&gclid=Cj0KEQjw6O-9BRDjhYXH2bOb8Z4BEiQAWRduk-1h3BDGxD4DjFryLkDA4j9BKje16Oykxdr-IhVZypIaAl018P8HAQ">http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=19758&cmpid=03cseYY&gclid=Cj0KEQjw6O-9BRDjhYXH2bOb8Z4BEiQAWRduk-1h3BDGxD4DjFryLkDA4j9BKje16Oykxdr-IhVZypIaAl018P8HAQ</a>

I had something like this in one of my QT tanks to make it look less bare. Its fairly detailed and looks cool covered in coraline.

I don't think a sunken ship is trashy. It's not exactly the same.

most decorations for aquariums don't specify anything about saltwater and if it can handle the chemistry or not.
i have never tried simply cause i don't want to take the chance on contaminating the tank and killing all my stuff.

Just a thought and probably sounds crazy. But, you might be able to some advice from a rep from the TV show "tanked".

I never tried because of the ridicule.:D

Wonder how it will look with Zoas/gsp/war corals...cover the whole ship. Oh wee. Bet that will look good. Or maybe a few section of the ship with different kind or color...

I built a small tank specifically to house a mantis shrimp for a friend of mine. It's going to have a watch tower. Ugh, can't find a sweet dark london like clocktower for aquariums

I used glass vases once. Added a lot of color to the tank. It was in a fish only. Also had a Easter Island head statue in there with bubbles coming out of his mouth. Cool tank. Kind of a pain to keep clean. I have seen a skull or two covered in zoas or gsp. It could be fun. I mean....the real ocean does have sunken treasure. Just sayin....

I just can't bring myself to do it haha

So long, and thanks for all the fish.
