When I got this sixline wrasse, he has this what I can describe as a kind of film on its sides. It may be obscuring its stripes or he has some scarring. I'd put up a picture but I'm over my photo quota... apparently 3 640x480s does that to a newb. I cant find an an image of any disease that looks like it online. I know wrasses make cocoons at night. It might just be leftovers and that's what I'm hoping. I just know I don't see it on images of really healthy wrasses.
I found this infection online called dropsy which might be it but, I only find pics of it on freshwater fish. My wrasse's scales aren't bloody like the infection describes. He is getting fat but I'm not sure if it's from bloating or feeding because it eats pretty much everything I put in the tank and it is a tiny fish. He could very well just be taking some abuse because he is the smallest and newest addition to the tank but, I haven't seen anyone attack him.
My blue tang had a bout with ich and I thought it was near over but, he bounced back really well the next day thanks to an unusual peppermint shrimp.
My maroon clowns and nem are looking healthy as ever.
If you can't tell by now, I'm a little neurotic about my tank but, I hate losing fish to diseases... of course I've lost more fish to hitchhiking LR predators and a malfunctioning water heater than I ever have from disease.
