Dosing Iodine

Just got my ICP test back and my Iodine levels are 10µg/l they recommended 30-90µg/l. They recommend doing a 2.5ml dose on day one then .25ml daily or 1.75ml weekly. I've been reading that I need to be careful when dosing iodine so I just wanted to get some advice from more experienced reefers.
My tank is 65 gallons. TIA

My concern is adding to much at once and messing up my tank. Forgot to add that part in the OP.

I dose iodide as part of reef moonshiners. If I remember what I read correctly, iodide turns into iodine in a less toxic way, or maybe it was more useful, can't remember exactly but I'm sure it is in the reef moonshiner's handbook if you give it a read.
