Well, always wanted to give this a go so here we are. Plan is to have the system of three low boy frags tanks with a 40b sump. I want to connect the two using 2" PVC and have the return on the first tank and the overflow on the second. This allows not only water to flow between tanks but also the fish, so I can keep less tangs/cleanup crew and makes having 1 auto-feeder easier than 2. It also saves on not having multiple return pumps/a messy sump. Another plan is to have an extra drain with a ball valve that I can place a 32g brute under for water changes so I only have to flip the valve and let the water drain. Lots of possibilities with this build and I'm hoping it works out.

Heater: BRS 600w + TBD

Two stands built, two tanks picked up. Also built a work desk in the corner for fragging/maintenance. I’m putting the sump on the other side of the wall in the garage as seen in the picture. This will help keep the look cleaner/maintenance easier. Haven’t decided about staining that stands or not yet.

I’m just glad somebody can put it to use. It should have a year or two left in it maybe more actually that’s what I was holding onto it for was a frag tank build. I just never got around to it. You know life happens.

A few change of plans, but we are wet. Decided to use two HOB filters instead of the sump through the wall. Plumbed the tanks together and added the sand. The cycle begins
