Drilling acrylic with diamond bits?

I know it will clog them up so yes it will ruin them. Just use a regular hole saw. If you don't have any Yiou could swing by my place and use mine ,just down macland rd.

Thanks,

I am just getting everything ready for the 330g setup and I want to run all pumps externally so my sump will need holes like a swiss cheese.

And I was just thinking to buy me a (W)hole set - but since I will need glass AND acrylic, I will buy the glass set and we can exchange as needed. DEAL!

Can someone hijack his own thread?
Well, in any case.

What do you recommend to hold two glass panes exactly at 90° for siliconing them?
Back in Europe I had some special clamps that would hold em at 90° but I looked over at the HD and no such things.
I'm hoping a cabinetmaker can help - would be the same for wood...

Or can someone get me the English name for this:

Robb, I have the following sizes: 3/4, 7/8, 1-1/8, 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 1-3/4, 2", 2-1/4, 2-1/2, 3", 4" plus a couple of odd ones that aren't part of a set. I'm sure I have a 1".

Both Rockler and Woodcraft have local Atlanta area stores to buy those picture frame clamps. There is a Rockler on Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs just outside the perimeter and there's a Woodcraft on Holcomb Bridge Rd in Roswell east of 400. My two favorite stores for my other hobby....furniture making.

You could probably also get the clamp from one of the big craft stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I'm sure it would be cheaper at the craft stores but then you don't get to play with all the cool woodworking tools.
