Dry it out real good

have heard some that use rice, never tried before might be worth a shot. That or seal it up with several of those "silica" desicate pads.

I would open the case and have a fan blowing on it for a couple days. I had a similar situation with mine. A hose came off a powerhead and sprayed the top of the unit with water and it began smoking. I quickly unplugged it (tripped the GFI) and did the fan thing. About 4 days later I plugged it in and it worked fine, that was 4 months ago.

That sucks. Set it on a floor vent if you have one. Was it on when it fell in?

whatever you do.....DO NOT put power to it until you are convinced it is completely dry inside. If you can open it up to expose it to air...all the better. The more you can disassemble it, the more (and faster) it will dry.

I've used rice on phones successfully....I'd think it would do the same here. If you have a house with gas heat...that will pull moisture so put it near a vent.

Go get 100% isopropyl alcohol and an old toothbrush and scrub every inch of electrical components.

Unscrew the casing -> cover in rice -> wait 3/4 days.

100% isopropyl alcohol is the way you clean electronic boards that have water damage.

The salt will corrode your connectors and whatever else it got on if you let it air dry. Take the covers apart and go with the alcohol and tooth brush.

You can also purchase a can of contact cleaner and spray all the electronics really well as that will also remove all corrosion. You will also want to take apart/open up the driver as it is in a plastic case and it probably also has moisture in it as well.
