Question for all users of the drygoods and livestock forum,
Do you prefer paying in cash, or through paypal?
What other methods would you use? Credit card, other online payment sites?

I don't feel like I've spent money if I use paypal, so , paypal for me unless there is a big cash discount.

Voted. Do you know how hard it would be to explain the amount of money we spend on this hobby!!!!!cash only for me

this is true but my wife don't see my paypal acc., she does balance to the check book.:D

For buying, cash if we've never met. PP or cash if we know each other.

For most people though I've PP'd. Usually if I've seen someone on the forums for a while or they're a long term member, I trust them with PP. Brand new and just selling stuff? Only low $ stuff am I willing to PP.

I don't care either way, it's all my money in the end as I do more buying than selling most the time , most ppl that knows me know I'll show up if I want something and I just do cash , but I kinda like PayPal for those fcfs situations if it's a good deal you gotta strike fast , I might not make it to pick something up for a week but I can get you your money Pronto

Buying I like paypal so I can pay for it and not worry about picking it up that day and it getting sold out from under me....and I usually dont carry much cash.

Selling, I dont care either way.

similar philosophy for me... my parents have full access to my bank account but my work debit card and my paypal are completely unseen by their eyes hehehe

This day and age, doing things digital is much more convenient to me. Plus, I like to show sellers that I'm not going to flake out.

I can go either way when I buy. I like to know I've paid for the item (PayPal) and it won't be sold to someone else before I get there. But sometime I want to pay in cash... my PayPal is linked to one bank account... my cash is linked to several accounts.

I prefer PayPal when I sell. Two reasons: (1) It's paid for and I know the buyer will show up. (2) It prevents a buyer from wanting to negotiate and lower the price when they come for pick-up.

So that's how you get around spending money on all the
projects, ie; Million Dollar Dart Frog Habitat. NICE!!

I prefer paypal. Cash is great and all, but if someone that I dont know is buying something and they no-show, i'm SOL. With paypal, I have more of a commitment as I already have the money or a down payment and it's safer.

I fund my addiction by giving myself a $20 per pay period allowance, kept in a "reefing shoebox". Forces me to sit & wait (and research) that latest planned addition while still keeping my budget in check.

Also means that I end up paying in cash with small, unmarked bills more often than not. ;)
