Just a questions but can you repurpose a quarantine tank to also growout frags at the same time your quarantining a fish?

Does this question even make sense? Just a thought that poped into my head.

Let me know your thoughts!

Simple answer would be yes. However, if you have to medicate the fish you may kill all the frags.

sometimes when you quarantine you have to add meds, which may not jive with your coral.
beat me to it rich

yup that.

I have mt QT system divided into 4 sections so I can use one or more for QTing corals while fish are in the other. But ideally you want a grow out tank to either be totally separate or tied into the main display(so the water quality is the same)

Great info. I have a 40g breeder for a QT and it just seems wrong to not utilize it in some other way other than a QT tank. I may use when I buy new fish and if they dont need mediacating then it would be perfect.
