ok, yes, I realize supporting local shops is a great thing, and I do; when I'm anywhere close to one... as I'm sure you do too... BUT

Share your ebay coral buying experience ....

what did you get? did it live? shipped and packaged well?

do you remember the vendor?

Have in the past. Make sure to use someone who does priority overnight instead of standard.

I have ordered a crosshatch trigger on ebay and some frags from reefpets and mr. coral. Cornbred has a website now as well

Yah I meant to put that mr. coral seems to run a chop shop. He is all over reef2reef but reefpets has been nothing but exceptional for me.

+1 I always hear about Cornbred, but I've never ordered. I think he ships out of Miami so there isn't too much travel time.

here's his page, nothing up right now. he usually has stuff for a week or two then nothing for a week or two

Recently I have purchased from Reef Pets, about a dozen corals mostly milliporas and a few mushrooms. Top notch packing and shipping, I mean they really have the process nailed down. I have purchased some stuff from Reefs2Go but every time the box came soggy, they were average to just below average.

Great seller I have bought several times several items and all delivered priority and lived and were in great condition

I've also looked at these places. Just make sure they have good buyer ratings

Most eBay sellers will let you combine buys for like $1or2

I have yet to have a bad experience... EXCEPT for planet zoa. I won a contest but he backed out of giving me the coral, changed the prices on added stuff I was going to get, and was extremely crappy with a "i have so many customers, a few ticked off ones won't matter" attitude. :o(

I will be making a Jason Fox order in the next 2 weeks if anyone wants anything specific from him to piggy back/ split shipping on my order. lmk

Och that was good to know . Thanks for the heads up

you would think someone with his experience would know what to look for.there were lots of adults and plenty of eggs on 2 of the 3 pieces.one even had one of the little gorilla crabs[blue eyed meanies lol]that are known to eat acro flesh.overall bad experience
