works just fine for me - im sure it would be better with more than 1. Obviously its not effective for my entire tank but does pull up some junk on one side and sends it right to the overflow..

Yeah, I wasnt implying it wouldnt "work", Im just saying it is designed to work with more than 1 pump. So the NTM isnt really a NTM, but a modified wave of sorts. Whatever works for you, though.:up:

Its in NTM mode and is "transporting nutrients" so im gonna go ahead and say it is doing what it said it would do - 2 more would be nice but that is a long ways off..
 
so the "nutrient export" thinggie... sounds like you place one near your overflow ... the other 2 blow and that one sucks? (reminds me of Space Balls)... so that it potentially draws stuff into the overflow ? is that the advertised method?

No. It just makes a waves pattern, to bring up detritus, and then turns all the pumps on in sequence to get it into the column. Its supposed to "cleanse" the detritus, not just provide flow.
