I stuck my hand in my sump today and got shocked , it turned out to be my return pump (coralife s-1000) I took it out and can't seem to find any abrasions on the wire so I'm thinking perhaps its internal .
The electrical current is only in the 2nd 2 chambers and is not reaching the display .
What could be going on ? A ground perhaps or maybe the water seal is eroded somewhere.
Anyone ever had this happen ?

Guess its just due for an upgrade , I can't find anything internally that looks like it should be causing an issue.
I'm running my backup pump but it has a lower gph so I need to hunt something down asap .

Are you sure it isn't a heater? If the heater turned off while you were removing the pump you may think it was the pump when in fact it was the heater?

I know you all think I have no heart but now I have an ultrasound to prove it. :-)
