electricity in tank

Well that rules that out. LOL. I was going to offer to run by and halp you out but that is the other side of the state.

My recommendation would be to call an electrical contractor and have the outlets changed to GFI. In the process they most likely will find the problem.

lol aww come on man its just a hop and a skip away. it seems to intermittant now I thought I had it narrowed down to a new 800 watt finnex heater I just bought because it had stopped shocking me and I started plugging things back up and checking and when I would plug it up I would get shocked so I got on the computer filled out a return form from amazon and was going to send it back, decided to check it one more time and its not shocking me now.I dont know I just think its something in the wiring in the house and not the aquarium.I have the external pump and 2 mp40's running right now and I put a small heater in the utility room to help out.I'm going to bed. thank you so much for your help and concern.

Heaters are notorious. Very well could be the problem but could be the house wiring as well.

As for the hop skip and a jump.... It is a hop, two skips and a very large jump for me to get to North Atlanta. LOL

Good luck. And one last time....GFIs are your friend. :-)

Finnex: CRAP. Let me guess - it was Titanium?

Titanium heaters - all of 'em: CRAP.

Haven't had your coffee yet this morning have you. Hehehehehe.

Actually I hadn't. Was it that obvious?

I have half a cup of Tim Horton's down now...

Let's try again:

Finnex: CRAP.

Titanium heaters - all CRAP. They likely all come out of the same Chinese factory and get different labels. Failure waiting for a time and a place.

The idea was good - the implementation, not so much.

(How was that?!)

Oh I know :) I can take it. And as you know, I can dish it out too.

One more cup o'Timmy's (best coffee anywhere, IMO -brought it back from the GWN)..and I'll be in fine form.
