I have a 25 watt Emperor UV that is ready for a new bulb. One their website, it mentions replacing the rubber gaskets yearly. For the other Emperor owners, how often do you replace the gaskets? Where do you buy the kits? I'm having trouble tracking one down at my normal online stores.

Thanks,

Jeff

SEA got me every thing I needed for my Emperor Aquatics UV. (Gaskets, o-ring, replacement sleeve, bulb). Give Jeremy a call. He should do you right.

I went to Emperor's web page that has the parts listed and told him the part numbers I needed.

You should examine the quartz sleeve of your UV for CaCO3 buildup as well. An acid bath is the recommended way to clean it. A new bulb won't do much if the UV light cant get past the buildup.

To clean my sleeves I like to get a section of PVC that is wider and longer than the sleeve. Put a cap at one end and fill with vinegar. Slide the sleeve in and stand up so the vinegar doesn't spill out. Wait 4-5 hours and run under water and wipe with paper towel.
