Looking good Eric!

Regarding the two-part dosing that you have listed on your future upgrade list, I started using Carbo-Calcium a few weeks ago. It is a single solution for both alkalinity and calcium. They sell it in a powder and liquid form, but I buy the powder as it is a lot more cost effective; you just have to mix it with RODI water. There is also a product called All-for-Reef, which is the same, but also includes trace elements. It wouldn't be cost effective for a large tank, but for a 20 gallon biocube, it is something worth considering. I made my own dosing container out of VOSS bottle, used a bicycle bottle holder to mount it to the wall, and I'm using a Kamoer single head dosing pump. Coral Box also makes a single head dosing pump.

I was just looking at that . Poylp labs makes a "one" product as well but can't find much info on it .

My 1" watch dog . This guy thinks he's the man . Oh and the 2 broken clown fish . There's a partner in crime Pistol shrimp in there too . We had a talk and I think he's done redecorating:mad:IMG_20190325_200848.jpgIMG_20190325_210724.jpg

Very pretty clownfish! Every pistol shrimp I have ever had buldozes sand and rubble all day long. Rearranging landscape a bit and sometimes covering nearby corals in or near the sand. And by rubble I mean even frags that are in the sandbed and such. If I am missing anything smallish in my tank I always check out what the pistol shimp has been up to or my urchin one of them always has it. :)

I love small nano tanks like this! I hate that I am having to get rid of mine! SO much fun to just sit and watch

I'm still filtering through the first batch of frags . All the lps is doing good. My zoas aren't doing much yet . I have 2 different Duncan's and both are doing well. 2 out of 3 mushrooms look great . The few pieces of sps are all questionable at this point , except a birds nest it looks good.

The tanks a month and a half old so I am really happy with the progress so far. I'm really just trying to find what corals like my tank set up and what doesn't. I'm just gonna stick with what works vs trying to keep something that obviously wasn't happy.

I think everything is looking good too! Your doing a great job and being wise in your choices.

I do the same thing in my systems. I dont put things into my tanks that will not be supported well by my lights and flow. Every tank has its all chemistry and makeup and I have found that for no rhyme or reason (that we can see or figure out) some corals like one tank over another. Thats why you need two tanks! ha ha! If something is not doing good in one of my tanks after moving it around a bit, I put it in another tank and it usually does well. If it does not, I take it to a fish store or gift it to a friend. :)

Everything is looking wonderful! Like the placement of the pink pocci and the kryptonite candy cane looks very happy! Its looking beautiful!!! It will be fun to watch it grow and fill in! Eventually your clowns should pick something else to host. Over the last four years mine (the ones in my 20L) have changed from a group of mushrooms to a huge patch of palys to now hosting my gongipora. :)

Full extension on just about everything in the tank today. Have been slowly creeping my lights up to 40% from 35 over the last 2 weeks . Also started with the carbo-calcium , low 5ml dosage every 5 days till I get them adjusted and parameters up where they need to be. I am spot feeding reef roids every 4 days , 1/4 teaspoon amongst everyone in the tank. ...and the clown fish are still homeless .IMG_20190402_180527.jpgIMG_20190401_215551.jpgIMG_20190402_180548.jpgIMG_20190402_180621.jpgIMG_20190402_180635.jpgIMG_20190402_180651.jpg
