So I have now lost two of my Sps, a birdsnest and now my echinata :(. All my other sps are doing great and showing great polyp extension. Last night I dosed cal/alk. Cal raised 20 ppm ( 435-455) and alk raised .6 ppm (8.4 to 9.0). Even though I would consider this an overdose, I don't really think its enough to cause an SPS to RTN. Correct me if I am wrong... Curious to see if anyone else has ever had this happen to them and what they believe caused it..

I have had this happen due to temp swings and pH

I have lost a colony here and there.....apparently for no reason, but there was ALWAYS a reason that I would be able to attribute the loss to....Granted there hasn't been many in the last 5-6 years.....still....

I guess I have should have added, before 5-6 years ago it was stupid.......

it happens..

NORMALLY, at least in my limited experience it was due to ALK in some way or another... normally a little low, or at least thats about all I have been able to link it to
