So I bought this cool micro-zoa rock. The zoas haven't been doing good at all, but while searching for pest during the night I found this. I had always thought it was a sponge because during the day it looks smooth and solid purple. Well as you can see at night it shows its mouth and has clear tentacles with orange tips so maybe its some type of weird NPS. Just thought I would share.

That is a ball-tipped anemone, they avoid the light and are pretty much harmless. I believe they are also called pseudocorynactis anemones. You can do some reading judge for yourself, but I haven't had any issues with mine, they stick to the undersides of rocks and filter feed.

Thanks that looks like it and could actually be stinging the zoas. I am going to separate them and add this to my cryptic fuge
