You must not be good at boiling eggs, lol.

So that's the BK skimmer, right? Looks like you need one of those neck cleaning lids from Avast Marine.

Skimate would probably do rather well as fertilizer as fertilizer itself is primarily salts... In fact I think epsom salts have been used as feritlizers for decades... Would I dump tons on my flowerbeds no, but used as spikes would actually be rather nice ;)

I wonder how a plant would grow if you strained the water and just kept the thick stuff

I would guess you don't lose a lot of salt thru skimming but I would dilute the scum in a good bit of fresh water before applying to the plants. As dry as it has been lately, the plants are stressed and more subject to salt burn. Start with one or two plants to see how they react.

Yeah, better taste it first. My question; will you even notice the salt content? or will you be gagging to much to notice!

I can say from experience that it tastes salty, but kind of smooth with a taste that will take your breath away.

by take your breath away I meant you will choke a bit. But it is a rather smooth consistancy for those wondering and you might even mistake it for some foul tasting sweat rolling into your mouth until you get the fishy undertones
