Are these the same as plain red/green mushrooms? Or are they more sensitive. I really want to frag mine. Because they are getting really big. But I don't want to kill then either.

IM SOO SORRY DIDNT MEAN TO PUT THAT.... Can I change it....

Edit: wait so can anyone answer my question? Just ignore the title.

Yes, they should be a very hardy coral species, as most corallimorphs are.

There are several was to frag shrooms. How do you plan on going about it?

Well I payed a good penny for these shrooms. Im kind of afraid to but I was just going to slice them in half.

I would start with one as a test and see how that goes. Are you going to chip them away from the rock or cut them in half where they sit?

Cut them in half where they sit. They both are all on a small rock that is sitting on the bigger piece of LR.

think about the future of what you are doing. If you want to frag them right now because they are too big and your solution is propagating more... 6 months later... your problem is 2-3X bigger. I would remove the coral if you dont like how big it gets or the growth rate OR chip them off (not hurting the foot) with a chisel and either sell them or grow them out.

I think I'm gong to chip some off and possibly sell them. Thanks guys.

You may want to slice a small piece of the foot. It should be pretty easy if it has any of the foot kind of stretched. I have one that has walked from on side of a rock to the other leaving pieces as it goes. I'm up to seven individuals plus the original. The pieces are small and take a while to grow however. The oldest is maybe 6 months old and about 2".

They are to. But it seems like they just keep growing. I've had them for about 6 months and only one red one has split. I probably will frag them when I get my frag tank set up in a coupe of months.

You can also chip part of the rock they are on and put a rubber band tight over the middle of one and it will cut itself in half.
