My newest tank has only been up for 6-9 months or so so a lot of my favorites are still getting established/growing out. However, I think an underrated addition to an early tank are anemone's.
Eventually the acro and euphyllia colonies will overtake, but for now my anemone rock steals the show as soon as you enter my house. A basketball sized when fully inflated mass of tentacle swaying in the current. I have had tanks for a while and don't get impressed by anemone's much but at this stage I still find myself gravitating to it as I enter the room. Especially with the back and forth movement.
