Just wondering what your favorite in habitant is when your actinics go out the fish go to sleep, and your moonlights come on?? For me its a coral banded shrimp that starts climbing all over the rockwork and then does his best spider man impression by climbing on the GSP that is growing on my back glass... After that its the nassarius - especially when I drop some cyclopeeze in the tank and they start popping out all over the place like submarines.

When I had a FOWLR system, it was a Fu Manchu Lionfish that you'd see gliding throughout the tank casting cool shadows from the moonlight...

I have a basic CUC. I'd have to say my scarlet hermit crabs. I don't see them much during the day. Boring, I know....

Harlequin shrimp and cleaner shrimp. The Harlequin only comes out at night and the cleaners venture out of their safe zone and climb all over (including frag racks) to eat.

Ooh this is a good one. My pom pom crab comes out to clean the sand. He is a true moonlighter

Yor Harlequin shrimp, what do you feed him? How often do you feed him? Is he in your display and how messy is he?

He's in the display, and is a PERFECT citizen. They only eat starfish, nothing else. If you have asterina stars in your tank, they will eventually clean them out... but once they are gone you'll either have to rehome the shrimp or start buying starfish to feed it. Some people keep one in the sump and let it regenerate the parts they feed, which is cruel to some... but the shrimp can't eat too much before the food rots.
