OK..............I got a RBTA from Mockery and she seems to be doing great. I placed her where I wanted and of course she thought she could find something better. She moved to the back of the tank on a few rocks. Earlier this morning she climbed up to a good location and then retreated again. I'm sure she'll be back around soon, but in the meantime how should I go about feeding her if she's in a location where I can't really get food to her?

I wish I had that luck. I had my rbta split and was doing great. Now all I have left are withered white circles.

If you feed sliversides, mush them up first. Nems don't do well with dense foods. They will expel them, pretty much completely whole and if this slides to the bottom of your tank unnoticed, that's just added waste in your system you can live without.

I've never read or heard of anyone doing this but me, but I take a high quality flake food, put some in a container, and use a turkey baster to jet tank water over the flakes, then suck up the mixture into the baster, and squirt that over the mouth of the nem. It will quickly close over the food and retract a while. The stray flakes that the nem doesn't catch feeds the tank that day........ I'll feed nems other stuff like frozen foods, maybe once a week, but the flakes are the staple diet..........

Two or three times a week is the most I'd feed a nem

I never spot feed anemones. They'll get some uneaten fish food when I feed my fish.
