Feeding gbta

Silverside. Once per week. Just drop it on there. The nem will do the rest.

I feed mine salt water lol. I honestly don't spot feed. Mine are huge.

I don't feed mine much either, it lives 6 inches from a 250W MH light. It gets food when I am feeding the male clown fish. It gets about a marble of mysis once a month.

My maroon female and male feed mine their PE mysis lol. It gets a couple of those a week and sometimes on a rare occasion I cut a silverside in half and give it to it. I wouldnt recommend spot feeding anything more than one every two weeks.

Edit: Just remember the more offen you feed them the more energy they must consume to digest the food; energy that would otherwise be used to absorb the sun; I believe BTA's are vulnerable to over-feeding so just be careful.

By energy what I meant is that the more offen they take in food the more offen they have to poop and do other things that dont allow for maximum photosynthesis.

Sorry to hijack, but to piggy back onto what others are saying about feeding to often.

Mine is about the size of a softball, and the base was a nice pink/red when I first introduced it. After a few weeks or so, I noticed the nice pink color started to go away and give way to a very light pink, though the tentacles, and area around the mouth are the typical bright green. I was thinking it was bleaching from the LED's. I feed mine a .5"x.5" piece of Sliverside about once per week. Kind of wondering if that is too often and that is why the base has lost some color.
Any thoughts to that being a possibility? When I fed it this week, it took the piece straight into it's mouth. Day later I caught it crapping it out, only, the piece hardly looked touched by the anemone. Shoot, I figured...eh maybe it didn't like that piece.:yuk::D
