I was glueing a frag into place, and my yellow tang came up as bit a huge chunk of glue. His mouth is glued together. I realize that this poses a very difficult situation, if I could catch him, I would try to remove it, but that is unlikely.

Is this something that will work it's way off? I have dealt with a lot of crappy situations, but not this. Any thoughts?

I'm hoping that this will just take care of its self.

There is a chance he will break it lose one if my diamond gobies did this last week to me
Best bet is to catch him and try to help call the poison control # and ask maybe they know a way to do it with out hurting the fish I'm shure this has happend to a person before

How long did it take for the diamond to break the glue? I'm really hoping that that happens.

Hopefully since he's in water the whole time and trying to open it's mouth, it will come off. Sorry Dylan, that really sucks.

Barbara, thanks for the link in the PM. I am going to give it some time, if he can't shake it in a day or so, I'll try to do the tedious task of tearing things apart and seeing if I can help. If I loose this fish, I would be pretty devastated. He was given to me as a rehab project, and he has made an excellent turn around.

It took a few hrs to a day for him to break it lose

If this hobby has taught me anything, it has been patience. When I glue my skin together, eventually it comes off.

I'll wait it out.

Thanks guys! It made me sick to my stomach watching him try to eat but being unable to. I've always worried about something like that happening, but this time it worked out.
