Finally got the trade I was looking for...

I finally found a frag of the BPC Flame Thrower Chalice. I traded a frag of my CB Rainbow Crush Chalice to get it. As soon as it heals up completely I will post a pic. Please do not PM me as I do not have a frag to spare of either and the person I got the BPC FT from has no more. Thanks.

Thanks FF. For some reason the BPC FT is hard to find. Before I left the hobby for a while a year or 2 ago I had a large colony and sold many frags locally and abroad, I will try to dig up a pic. The Rainbow Crush is the nicest chalice I have seen hands down. He starts his EBAY auctions for a frag of the Rainbow for $699 a frag. I went directly to him and got it for less. We have done trades before so I think that helped. Every Sunday night rnegret has the Rainbow up for auction on EBAY.

I use photobucket and never used to have a problem. Now when I choose the pic and cut and paste it posts ALL of my pics not just the one I chose. Someone help me...

that rainbow crush chalice is sweet! Nice find. Just curious but where do you place him in your tank and what kind of lighting do you have? I have some high powered led's and i often loose colors on rainbow acans and chalices due to to much light. But my SPS love all the light so I have to compromise and choose whether my SPS look really good or if my chalices and rainbow acans look really good =)

I have AI SOL LED's. I got rid of all of my acans as they all turned red / orange. My chalices have done very well and have kept their color for the most part. I have found that chalices do well in low light and medium flow. My chalices are on the sand about 30in below the light.... Some I even put under an overhang in the shade and they still look and grow well.

Just got me a sol blue. do you ramp up to 100%? do you run stock optics or all 70's?

I ramp up to like 90 90 90 for 4 hours during the day. The rest of the time it is 60's, 50's, or 40's. I changed out the optics as well. Also mine is an AI SOL Blue also.

That is actually a huge Miami Hurricane Chalice. In my tank it is a nice teal with orange eyes. It is a little smaller than a tennis ball...

Thanks reeferman. It is one of the few corals that looks as good in person as it does in pictures.
