I got a fire shrimp I've had him for almost 2 years he's bout 3" I got a yellow watchman goby bout a 1 1/4 long had a few months. I've never seen this before but the scales on the goby a few days after I got him sides of his body turned white. Doesn't look like ich doesn't affect the fish or any other tank mates.

Well I figure he's going to make it or he isn't and I've had him for months now some days he is more yellow other days he looks like he's been skinned almost. Well I saw my fire shrimp get on top of the goby and it looks as if he is pulling his side scales off his body. The goby doesn't seem to mind nor runs away. In fact I saw a few times the goby back up to the fire shrimp like its a full service grooming station.

Just when u think u have seen it all.

I just found this odd and wondered what's going on.

My fire shrimp / watchmen do the same thing. Fire shrimp are a cleaner shrimp they are usually just more shy about it. Don't know about the white spot. Might have just been an injury the shrimp is trying to keep clean.

it was really odd. I mean he eats, he swims, hes been like this for months and doesn't seem affected at all.

I guess only time will tell.
