I was looking for my tail spot blenny that disappeared since this morning and spotted my first aptasia. I read that I can inject it with hydrogen peroxide or lemon juice. Should this be my first approach? Would a diabetics insulin needle work?

Yes that should work well but my preferred method is to pull the rock and cut the chunk of rock off. Either way should work fine.

Yeah i found one the other day on a frag plug. I pulled out the frag plug and scrapped it off.

I will keep an eye out. I'm moving everything from this tank into a 22g tank with a sump. Is one aptasia worth dipping all of my corals and not using this rock?

Best course of action is to remove the rock and scrub it off in a bucket.

The only way I've ever been able to "eliminate" them is with a peppermint shrimp. That being said, using kalk paste on things I don't want in my tank is just a standard part of my water change routine anymore. There's always an aptasia or two still around and they pop back up when the peppermint shrimp go to heaven. In fact, that's how I know the shrimp is no longer in the tank, when the aptasia pop up.

I found two aptasia in my tank about two months ago. I used aptasia x in both. They literally exploded and I haven’t seen any since. Just my two cents.

I killed average five aptasia every day with aptasia x for two weeks.

Now I can't find any more but I know they will be back.

aptasia x is working very well.

I saw some guy using this trick with a blue laser. I figured since I already have this green one that can light matches I'd try it out. I had to move the rock a little closer to the glass but it looks like it worked. The aptaisa looks shriveled up and The one I did this to the other day hasn't come back

Aptaisa are like zombies. I might need to invest in one of those lasers.

I have been thinking about buying the nice blue laser. I know of a few other members that could borrow it for their needs as well. I was able to catch it early, I've been able to eradicate all visible ones but I know eventually some will come back.
