Fish cam up and running

Is the link for the camera only or is there software that comes with it to allow you to view it?

The camera comes complete with viewing software. It's all done through your browser. You don't have to load anything unless you want to record video. If you want to record you need to buy a 3rd party piece of software. Most of those are around $80.

I downloaded Security Spy for Mac to check it out and I like the way the windows display, but it's not necessary at all.

BTW feeding at 6:00 pm tonight!

So, is there a motor in it that allows you to pan via your web interface? (To be clear, I'm not asking if you will let me do it, just whether you as the admin are able to do it).

This is very cool. I have no need for one, but want one anyway.

Yep, I can pan & tilt, and it will "patrol" back/forth or up/down if I set it to do so.

Yeah, I didn't have a need for it either. Just another toy. Lol.

still not working for me. The user name and password just keep coming up every time in type in guest and password and press enter. I'm using firefox and following the link.

NEW ANGLE FOR THE DAY!

I was hoping to get a front-on shot, or the left side of the tank, but the front has WAY too much light reflection to work, and I need to get an extension cord for power to hit the left side of the tank. So what you get now is just a bit more of the front with the right side view.

LOL... and you can watch my back as I work. haha..

Do you have another browser you can try? I'm really at a loss on this one. You're using the Bottom login link from the main camera page right?? And using a login of "guest" and leaving the password blank??

LOL.. yeah, I was poking around with the focus and I show up in the reflection sometimes. I'll keep my clothes on. ;-)

Yes, please do. This is a family site.

For FF, type in "guest" and then click the "login" button under the text that says "Server Push Mode (For FireFox, Google Browser)"

You don't need to actually enter "password" in for the password, just leave it blank. But you have to click that lower login button for it to work. It'll pop up another login window...again, "guest" for the login and dont enter anything for password. Once you're logged in, just click the button on the side that says, "live video"

Ooohhhh, dramatic angle....can we get a front shot??

I tried the front shot, but one entire wall of my loft is windows so the light reflection was way too much and you couldn't see anything.

I'll pick up an extension cord so I can do a left-side shot which is really nice. Great view of some hair algae & a fat bubble algae. LOL..

New view on the left side of the tank. Not sure how long I'll keep the cam in this direction though as it's in a bad location for where we walk.

Just checked out your camera....very cool, like the left side better.
How is that guy to the right standing so still for so long???????

Yeah, the left side is MUCH better.

The guy in the background is actually Jeff Probst. He hangs out with us.
