I have an Indigo Dottyback that I am concerned about. I have had it about 2 years.. in march I think or april of this coming year, and it is the best fish I have ever bought, the most docile fish I have ever seen and actually one of my original favorite fish.

now here comes the problem, over the past few weeks it has gotten, well fat. I am not sure if it is a healthy fat or its because it may be prego.

Getting a pic of it is hard but I got some, though they are blurry but you might be able to get the idea or what I am asking...

now the tank isnt that dirty or cloudy, i had just cleaned the glass and had to take a quick pic. half the hair algae is gone tanks to some massive water changes... its still a work in progress, even after two years, almost

If it's still acting normally then I wouldn't worry to much about it....swimming fine would mean it's probably not a swim bladder problem....but I guess it could be a digestive tract issue if anything on the negative....see it poo lately?

Haven't been able to see it poop, its out and active and eating.. I'm thinking it may be an intestinal parasite but eve if it is, I am unsure of how to treat it

Do you have a QT tank?....formalin 3 is usually a good treatment for many different parasites...it's kinda hard to find if you don't already have some...

No don't have any, and no QT. I do have somethin else I will try. It's called... KanaPlex. I've used it for popeye so I'll try it with this to see.

Thanks,
Cory Clark
