ok so i love barnacle blennies and willl often google them when i start thinking about them again and this picture always pops up in the search. i know it is not a barnacle blenny and it does not look like" alt="" /> a blenny at all to me. it looks more like a neon goby or something similar. anyway i really like the look of it too and was wondering if anyone had any idea of what the hell it is.

The first one is a Bluestriped Fang Blenny (Plagiotremus rhinorhynchus). Page 335 of Scott Michael's Pocket Expert Guide to Marine Fishes. Feeds on the scales and body slime of other fishes. Will eat live brine shrimp. Some will also consume finely chopped seafoods...... Harmless to inverts but difficult to house with other fishes.

Book says it will bite its tankmates unless they have toxic body slime, best kept in a specimen tank.

The second one looks to be some sort of goby but not one I've ever seen and I don't see it in that book.

thanks jenn. the second one is actually a dwarf blenny (or so reef builders says) but its not specified as to what species it is. as far as the fang blenny goes i guess ill stay away from that one i dont need a slime sucking vampire fish on my hands lol
