Fish stuck in overflow

i'm glad i wrote up what happened because I now have a chalk bass stuck in my overflow. I was scratching my head trying to remember the issues I had when I fished the other fish out (zebra bar goby) and then i remembered this thread hehe. Now to do it without nearly flooding my upstairs office! Hopefully I flushed most of the dead snail shells last time, I might try to fish out any i can find before pulling the stand pipe for the excitement again.

Omg, get a tight screen or cover for that overflow!

Mine has a cover but it's big and flat. This became a hazard for jumping fish to land on and not be able to get off. So I covered it with screen (like this) so I could angle the overflow top.
