Fish you want and can't keep???

Ok let's state this first. If you have a 30 gallon and want an Achilles , I know why it dies >.< .

What fish have you wanted to have but have never been successful? Reading on r2r and the biggest one is the powder blue and achillies. We haven't had trouble with either. But for me it's fire shrimps.

Can't as in it dies or can't as in it doesn't play well in the type tank we are keeping?

If it is the prior - purple queen or square spot anthias. I don't feed frequently enough to keep the anthias alive...

If it is the later - I would love to keep many of the angel fish and a clown trigger but can't in my reef tank.

Oh sorry. I mean you do everything that the fish would require( ie big enough tank, feed frequently, clean water , etc ) but the fish just does not survive. In the tank downstairs, we have a alot of anthias., Jesse knows, as well as many fish. We don't feed as much and everything is fat.

For some reason I have never been able to keep a Banggai Cardinal. I've tried in groups, with Live food and everything, I've just not been able to do it.

Copperband Butterfly Fish...

I've tried 3 so far. The first one never ate, the second one didnt eat enough and the third ate mysis like a pig! The last got ich from my powder blue and died before I could go get some Metro and Focus (stopped eating and was found dead within 3 days).

Same for me. Also firefish. They last a week tops.

Strange but true... I can't keep cardinalfish. Every thing else thrives, but I put cardinalfish in the tank and they are MIA the next day.

I've kept "hard" fish successfully, but can't keep a firefish around for anything.

+1 tried red purple and the helfrichi. all end up missing.

+10 on firefish! Ive had the same B&W clown and blue chromis for over 2 years with no issues and prolly 10 firefish that never last more than a few days :-(
