Hey, I got a Flame Angel from atlanta reef (I think his name is Allen?). Well, I have no clue if its eating it just nibbles on the glass. Should I be worried? All my other fish swim like crazy for food, but this guy just hides in the rocks. By the way i got it 2 days ago. Any advice?

Mine eats on the glass, but its after the algae which i think its funny. It's gonna hide. Its stressed from shipping and being sold. I'd just wait it out and over feed slighty and if you could add a little garlic guard or entice to you food that mite help it come out and eat

Garlic will help to entice him to eat. Also squirt a little food in his hiding area for him. He will inch out as he gets comfortable.
Once he does get established flames are very bold fish. Mine will share the algae clip with my powder blue no problem. Everyone else always proceeds with caution. Love mine

How long have you had your tank up. I had a flame angel and recently traded it because it was nipping at my corals. My flame angel never ate any food that I put in the tank. It just eats algae off the rocks. It was like that for months and very healthy. I would just watch it to see if it looks unhealthy. If it looks fine then don't worry about it.

Had mine eating all foods in a 20g planted qt tank before I added him. Doesn't pick at anything

the tank is been set up for about 2 and a half months. I havent seen any damage to my coral or seen it nip at them. Its still after the algae, its progressing though it swims to the open every now and then. Really good looking fish
