25 gallons of freshly mixed salt water on my hardwood floors and carpet. :o I left it circulating in my brute container. Pump + tubing all in the tote except on loop resting on the old water (empty) bin. I walked out of the house (after making sure it was all stable) and it pumped it all out except 2". I live in a split level, tank is on second floor (125 gal) against a supporting wall. Water was pouring out over the garage door, raining in the garage, one bedroom floor ruined.

So insurance has been called. Any input? My husband is the best, didn't even think about beating me;).

ouch that sucks, sorry to hear that. I did that in my condo, was making water and fell asleep, woke up the next morning to the maintenance guy saying he was here to check on the leak. I quickly realized I was the leak. Flooded my hardwood, leaked into two of my neighbors on the floor below and one more below them. Luckily it was not salt. Luckily I have cool neighbors, at least the ones I flooded, and they let me help them clean it up without having to involve insurance. Good luck with your place.

Boy that is tough. But I am sure your husband thinks a little more of you than hardwood floors. :-)

This same thing has happened to me a few times. Luckily it was in the basement on tile and carpet. Still a PITA. I don't use a hose to mix water anymore. ;)
