Putting my 12 gallon fuge online and I have it setup with a spraybar fed from my return pump manifold. It's getting low turnover of maybe 50gph. My chaeto doesn't seem to really be getting enough flow to "aggitate" or tumble and I'm looking to add a small ph. Would you guys think a Koralia nano to be enough or should I step up to a Koralia 1? I also have MJ 600, 900, and 1200's sitting around but not a huge fan of the direct flow produced by the MJ's in a fuge.

I am not so sure you need much more flow. Can you maybe bump up the input pump?, a higher GPH pump? Then you won't have a powerhead chewing up the cheato inside the fuge.

My pump has plenty of juice but increasing the flow with a spraybar (near the surface for aeration) gets noisy, and silence is a major goal.

Never had an issue with my Koralias or MJ's "eating" chaeto in the other tank. Mine is such a tight ball I think there's little chance a ph could hurt it. It's being subjected to a MP20 and K4 in the 93 right now:D

Ok, cool. I have a Koralia 1 for you can have.

Mine doesn't tumble either and I get fast growth from it. 50gph is penty of flow through the fuge. Start there and if in a month or 2 you aren't satisfied with how it's working then add your PH. Patience my friend...lol...patience. (I should practice that myself sometimes)

Nah....not a patience thing:D I just saw the growth I had in the other tank where it tumbled and figured I would try to replicate the motion in the new fuge. Jcusmarine gave me a softball sized chunk a couple months ago and it fills half a 30 gallon bowfront now. In fact, it's too big to tumble anymore:D I guess I'll just let it be for the time being and see how it does.
