Anyone using one of these as a nano reef? They are 8 gallons I believe. Really cool little tank. I was gonna go pick one up today and set it up as a nano softie tank. Any info on upgrading the lights? Looks like a pain in the a$$ to clean!

Cool, thanks guys. I'll give them a call and see what they did for lighting. What livestock are they keeping in theirs?

I was thinking about getting the little 6 gallon myself, have been for a while. :) If I were you, I would go to nano-reef and search their threads. Lots of good info and pros and cons. Nanotuners has a custom fixture that is pricey but it would show you how to plan out the leds.

If i get one I would get 3 flaming prawn gobies (or one yasha and pistol) and do an led mixed nano-reef.

Sounds good! You should get one! The pets Mart by my house has them and they ring up as 87$ for some reason! My buddy and I both bought one!

alt="" /> got it setup! Live rock and live sand. The sand is the pacific black reef. It's a black and white mix.

Next I will upgrade the lighting so I can put softies in! I will use LEDs of some sort. I'll test the water today and see where I stand.

Lol yup, they have them listed correctly at 139.99 but they ring up as a fluval edge (which is the correct product) for 87.99!

So I removed the stock lighting and I
Stalled some DIY LEDs! Not that great but def better than the stock yellow halogen bulbs!
