I have had my leds in my nano for about a month now. I have not had enough time to really see any obvious growth of corals although most of my corals have colored up nicely.

I was just curious if anyone could provide some positive testimonies on here from actual growth using full leds in there system. Im currently running 2 eco modules and 2 stunned strips in my 12g nano

I just setup a evilpar38 12k unit over my 6g nano a week ago and so far all my coral has loved it, polyp extension is amazing and the colors have now truly come out. I'm more then sure that I will have great coral growth from this setup. As well as the ability to now put hard corals in from my main tank.

The only thingthat throws me off is my tank seems darker but has a way more crisp color to it. Is it correct to say that the par measurment is different that the measure of visible light

It doesn't really seem 'darker' to me. Although it seems like the LED lighting is just able to cut through the water much better then PC lights ever could. As for the color, yes I can defiantly tell its more crisp and the shimmer is amazing. As for par I would have to grab a par meter out and test it out, but my guess is the par value for on the sand bed would be much better then most PC's at the top of the water.

I've been running an Ecoxotic Panorama on my 12-g Aquapod for 11 months now. Ask anyone who's been into the shop - my RBTA is HUGE now (I wish he'd split, he's outgrowing the tank). I've had to remove Frogspawn and Zoas that got too big/too numerous.

I've fragged many corals off the top row under 2 Eco LED strips.

I also have a monti cap that contiunues to come out of the water over and is sitting under 300 par at 5-6 inches down

I also have a Picoda cup that is growing like crazy under them...
