I had a $89.00 credit there to order whatever I needed but today the new ad reads free shipping for purchase of $225.00. I told that that was extreme and that I would like my credit removed form their books and credited back to my credit card. Have I made a mistake? I have never purchased livestock from anywhere else. Any suggestions that you can give me on purchasing closer to Valdosta that still offers a guarantee? Bubba

If you order livestock from Liveaquaria, the minimum purchase to qualify for free shipping is $225. However, if you want to order dry goods, the minimum purchase is $49 for free shipping and that is on the Dr. Foster and Smith site.

I think it's always been $225 for livestock since it has to be overnighted.

DETAILS: FREE economy shipping on all orders $49 and over. A low flat rate charge of $5.99 will apply to orders under $49 (product total does not include applicable tax). FREE shipping and low flat rate shipping applies to economy ground shipping to 48 connecting states only. Oversize or heavyweight items with the blue star symbol ship for an additional $7.99. Additional shipping charges apply for expedited and air shipments, for example, Frozen Fish Food must be shipped 1 day air due to their special handling needs. The blue airplane symbol indicates items requiring additional shipping fees on expedited or air orders. Does not apply to LiveAquaria.com website or shipping to Canada.

You must mean LiveAquaria.com and I believe it has always been $225 or thereabouts.

It has been that way for years (or since i was in the hobby), but it's never a mistake to try and get they money in your account as you'd have more freedom to purchase where you want. It's just unlikely they will do it, and they won't have an obligation to do it. Remember that Seinfeld episode where even the vet had the records of Elaine being difficult. You're on the list!

Free Shipping:

Anything over $50 on dry goods from http://www.drsfostersmith.com">www.drsfostersmith.com</a>. (Including salt and heavy items. What a ****ing steal of a deal!!) I shipped 260lbs of live sand for FREE.

Anything over $225 on Live Aquaria.
