I found a bobbit worm in my aquarium and i finally was able to catch it by pulling the rock that it lives in, but its deep in the middle of a nice piece of liverock. Does anyone know how to get it out of the rock without smashing it? I have it suspended an inch over the water in a bucket in hopes it will come out on its own

Get a bucket of aquarium water and raise the salinity to 1.040. He'll come out...but so will everything else on the rock. If you have attached corals or anything, don't use that method.

im positive i got him in this rock it. it was in a big hole in the rock when i took it out it retreated into the hole deeper than i can see . i will try and what you said hackman ide like to get it out intact b/c after reading about them ide like to see it

has anything come off the rock yet? limpets? bristles? starfish?

just put it in a bucket of salt and add 1/2 cup of water.
ok ok ok, 3 squirts of break clean should get its attention. add match if desired.

meaning use a turkey baster to squirt it or as a dip? I would think that or carbonated water would irritate them out of hiding. Makes sense anyway.

Brake cleaner @ $1.99 a can retail versus the stumps you'll be getting...Put me down for 2 cases...lol.
