Is gorilla supper blue gel formula safe to glue zoas to a frag plug or rock? It says it contains cyanoacrylate, is that safe?
Thanks, Diane

I wouldn't use the Gorilla brand glues (I know they can expand with a kind of foam). Regular old superglue with cyanoacrylate will be fine. That or just take some fishing line or thread and tie them to a piece of rubble.

AND wash your hands carefully.

Palytoxin is nasty.

I don't see how your supposed immunity has any bearing to the OP.

I had one pop and squirt juice in my mouth once. My jaw/tounge went numb for a few hours.

Now I frag with safety goggles (college chem lab anyone?) and a facemask, like for yardwork.

WOW! :confused2:

We haven't gotten to the point where we've fragged any zoas/palys yet, but still we never handle them without gloves. I did in the past before I learned about palytoxin, but better safe than sorry for me now!

Touched my eye after handling a zoa colony. Never again, my eye swelled shut, thought I might have to go to the emergency room. Flushed it with fresh water and finally the swelling went down.

There is on thread on RC where a guys dog say some zoa's he fragged and ate them off the table and later died. After I read that I decided to never frag them with out protection!

But back to the OP. I just use the super glue gel, that comes in a silver and blue bottle easy to use and re-sealable!

+1 for the gel type. The non-gel is runny while the gel stays in a nice little blob.

Had not heard of the Gorilla Glue super glue but I checked the website for info and it looks like it would be just fine.

Non gel also absorbs too quickly into the frag plug or lr rubble to create a good bond
