Frags from the swap

How are you guys acclimating your frags to your tank? Last night I floated mine till the temp was the same or within .5 of a degree. Then I glued them to frag plugs, if they needed to be. Once in the tank I set them on the sand and left on dimmed actinics(LED). This morning 2 hours after the lights came on, I turned up the brightness of the actinics and turned on the daylights(dimmed).

I am not really good at acclimating corals... I just put the bags in for temp, then just put them in. Only really do this for zoas and lps, while for sps, fish, and inverts I drip. I always look to see if there is a pest, and I haven't gotten any yet. I should though start to dip corals though, just seeing that lots of people have been unlucky.

Would love to know what the first round of sps frags given out were. Looked pink in the cups. I got them home and on plugs dipped in the tank. And this morning they were blue.

Last night I floated everyting. After about 30 min I drip aclimated the clam I bought and got it in the tank while the actinics were still on. The rest I let float in the sump all night. This morning I dipped everything and got it all in the tank just before the actinics came on. Everything seems to be doing fine even the colony they didn't frag because it was bleached. It seems to be coloring up a bit on the ends but we will see if it makes it or not.

The blue acro and the milli both have their pollyps out. I can't tell if the acan and brain are happy tho.

Float for 20, and chuck in qt. All look good!

Mine was more like float for 20 than chuck the QT. I broke the QT on the way home from the swap.:mad2:

I dripped mine for an hour and everything seems perfect so far.

All my corals are doing good. Good polyp extension on the red cap. , and the micromussa and acan are already eating some pellets.

i floated for a while, dipped, glued ones to plugs that were not on them (sps) then stuck them in the tank. SPS on my frag rack, LPS and zoas on the bottom
