no im not giving away a radical...

i vaguely understand what it is from chemistry classes.. but how does it apply in the balancing act between calcium / alk / and whatever else is involved?

Free radicals play a role in ORP, or redox potential in general - not so much in our trace elements.

which raises another question.... WHAT THE HECK IS ORP ... ? and why is it important ? I see it a lot.... but .... no one really bothers with it..

guess I need to get into some of the finer pts of the hobby with some light reading eh
