I bought a bunch of this on the last group buy in November but took until late December or early January to finish my regular Instant Ocean and switch over. Doing partial water changes, by early February my alkalinity was up to @210ppm or 12dkh in all three tanks. New mixed water measured the same. Online info says the Fritz should mix to 8-9 dkh. I suspected my Hanna checker, but just got a Salifert kit that verifies the 12 dkh in fresh mixed water and all three tanks. Is anybody else's Fritz mixing that high? And is it OK to keep running alkalinity that high? Looks like advantages are higher alk = higher pH, and no need to dose alk, any other advantages or disadvantages?
