Frogspawn not fully opening?

I got some frogspawn from a member here about two weeks ago and it does not seem to be opening up like it should. I have tried moving it to different places in the tank and it still stays mostly closed. It has only creeped out of the "skeleton" a few times since I have had it. Everything else in the tank is doing fine. I am wondering if it is because of the type of frogspawn that it is? I will take a picture later and post it up. It has a hard outer shell and I cannot find a picture of anything similar to it on the internet.

Frogspawn is generally a great indicator of water quality. If it is not opening up something is making it uncomfortable. Have you tested your water parameters? Could be something in the water chemistry that is making it not open.
