Installed a nice canister filter on my cube to hold all my carbon and ect

Both my nano Picasso and one extreme snowflake got sucked up when I was working on putting the net over it. Lost all three.

They where doing really good too

Sorry for your loss Chris, but maybe I can learn something. How did they get sucked-up? Especially all 3? Isn't the intake tubing 3/8 or something like that? If you don't want to talk about it...just ignore. Again...I am sorry. I lost a fish or two as I was pouring off water from the LFS bag/container and the fish fell into the disposal...stinks!

Good point, Tony...I'm very curious too...I've never, in 25+ years had something like this happen.

What kind of canister is it? Did you not have the strainer on the intake?

It's a Rena. Idk what size or anything. It has a 1/2" intake. I was cleaning the pipe that has a net guard and forgot to put it on. My clowns always swim up top and when the lights went out I check and they were fine. Lights came on today and only the female was left. The bodies where bent from being sucked up. I don't user stand how they got sucked up that easy

Edit: It was my own fault. They have never been near a filter before so maybe they got curious

Hi Kris,

Stupid mistakes........ I've made a few (too many). All we can do is mourn the loss, learn from them, and move on.

Sorry for your loss Man!

Good to see you back man. Hope you come around more.

Yeah it was my fault. Just sucks to lose priceless fish like those snowflakes
