I just recently started into the Saltwater side of the hobby and only know of a couple stores that carry corals and SW fish. I've been going to Marinefish and Atlantis Aquarium in Marietta, but would love to know of any others recommended by y'all. I've also read several posts naming "SWC"... SWC? I'd like to stay local as opposed to ordering everything online as I did with my FW tanks.

Thanks! :)

Thanks for the responses, the link, and for cracking me up. :)

Its a tiny shop but the prices blew me away and they stuff they had was really nice. Amazing selection of wrasses, good selection of inverts and a wide variety of tangs and other great fish. All the fish looked healthy and I picked up a few things that are all doing GREAT.

I'll definitely be back. It's already a cool shop and it has a ton more potential! Trey was great as well. I love being able to chat fish while I shop. :)

I actually *gasp* picked up a fish from another shop because I wanted to add them first. I got a Yasha Goby and Pistol shrimp.

Hooked Newbie and I totally dug the prices and selection.... if it wasn't for the fact that we felt that we should add a goby before adding the wrasse, we would have taken it home asap. Trey was super helpful and we will be back for sure!!!

Creation Reef in Woodstock is a MUST. It blows away Marine Fish (sorry) and has a great, healthy selection and is a must see store. Actually, it is the best LFS I have ever gone to. It features a stingray setup that lets you actually touch the rays at 3:00. Don't take my word for it though...ask around and go see for yourself. great staff as well.

dawgdude;263518 wrote: Yeah their wrasse selection was awesome. Im gonna get rid of most of my tangs and go with a ton of wrasses. When I do Trey will be getting a call....

Thats something that Bajabill has been wanting to do. Maybe we will have an all wrasse tank soon. ;)

i was the Creation Reef today and it was amazing, and the tang i saw in there with the stingrays was kool too.

Stingrays are great. Added two to our saltwater pond, they are for sale as is all the LR in the pond(w/ coraline).

Next time you come into Marine Fish ask for me and introduce yourself.

We'll see if the new stores popping up are clean in a few months... Yeah some are great, but can they stay great and compete?

I'll do that. As a customer, I like having multiple choices in where to go and usually visit multiple in any "shopping" day. I didn't want to create any sort of drama by posting this and really just wanted some suggestions (which I thankfully got). That said, as a newb in the SW side (I've been visiting Marinefish for well over a year while keeping 15+ FW tanks), the stores that are apparently "popping up" seem to be pricing very aggressively and I will continue to visit them as long as they are clean, have good staff, nice selection, and solid pricing. I'll see you soon though, I do like your store (along with the others).

Yup, sounds like a Marine Reef employee to me, LOL.:D I wish I could afford to shop at Marine Reef, they do have some nice fish most of the time. I will give them that.

James you know I love some of the stores popping up, but I hope they can stay around. I like having a selection also... I love going to Einstein's but I also love that it's across town. Creation is close and that threatens my wallet everytime I'm in the area!
