Good stores for reefers?

Actually, it is the best LFS I have ever gone to. It features a stingray setup that lets you actually touch the rays at 3:00. Don't take my word for it though...ask around and go see for yourself. great staff as well.

+1. CRA is fantastic, and Matt has been great to me.

+1 for SWC

I'm glad someone else asked this! I was going to say the EXACT same thing - I went to both stores today (Marine Fish and Atlantis Aq.) and was impressed by neither.

Perhaps it is because I am a girl that I was essentially ignored? The guy in AA chatted with me a bit, but MF was less than enthused about answering the few questions I came up with.

I want to get a SW tank set up and running, but would like to be comfortable with everything again before I jump into it - I worked at a huge SW/FW store back in Michigan for a year and a half a while back, and am looking for somewhere with parallel customer service, not just a boys' party! Somewhere willing to spend the time with me about setting up a new tank would be fantastic - not just interested in selling me their merchandise.

I've been finding mention of stores online but they keep closing! Argh!

There are some great stores and ARC sponsers to shop in metro Atlanta!

But keep your eye on the livestock forum</em>

Welcome....you must be rich!

Well, Atlantis is not know for their customer service, but I have had good and bad there. Marine Fish can have EXCELLENT service depending on whos working. Steve, Matt, Patrick, and Kyle are all pretty helpful. Unfortunatly Marine Fish employess have a lot on their plate since they aid the service department too, so if you go in at the wrong time (around closing time or new shipment arrival) they can be stretched very thin.

I personally prefer to not have anyone bother me alot of times when I go in a store. I am a solitary shopper. The best customer service that I felt would be good for a newb is at Pets Unlimited, who I am trying to get to become a sponsor. The owner is also the primary floor person (small store) so I guess the fact that his business is at stake, he makes a very good effort to chat and help. Also, he seems to be very knowledgeable and honest to me, and not full of poo.
