I have got this green hair algae thats only growing on my frag plugs.I dont understand why its only on the new plugs? Its growing over my Fruit loops, along side of my Miami Hurricane on the sides of my Hornets and a few others.I have scraped the stuff off but it comes right back. Its not in my tank any where else, just on the frag plugs? What can I do to get rid of this stuff its taking light from my corals and possibly slowing down the growth?

My snails and emerald crabs take care of any algae that appears in the tank. They knock over things once in a while but they are worth it! I have seen it on plugs when I buy frags and take a child's soft toothbrush to them while I'm dipping them and manually try to remove if it's noticeable. I also have Mex Redlegged crabs they are helpful.:D

if your rock has coraline on it, it might be blocking the growth of hair algae, but if the plugs don't have coraline it can grow on it easier
