I have a 55g that is about 7 months old now. I added a gtba about 1 1/2 weeks ago. The guy has not stopped moving. Normally I would not care, but i don't know if this is normal for him to move as much. I am starting to think that maybe it is not happy about the lights? I started it in the middle of the tank about half way up from the bottom on some LR. at first it seemed ok, but them after three days I found it down at the bottom in the sand. He moved a few times, but I noticed that it kept tipping upside down when the clown brushed it or dug a hole around it.

I moved it back to a lower rock and it moved back to the sand. I'm starting to get worried that all this 'stress' will kill it.

I have a 55g tank with a HOB skimmer and a Solar Xtreme HO448 light. (act for one hour in the morning, act and 10k for 7 hours and then act for one hour before night and then moon light)

Should I move the bubble tip higher on the LR? (ie: not enough light to make it happy) I have a bunch of Xenia about the middle of the tank level and it has been doing fine.

Just let the BTA settles to where it feels comfortable with. If you want it to stay put, Put several rocks and possible a small net to prevent it from floating away. It might take some time for the footing to latch to a place where it feels most secure.

Cover any powerheads with pantyhose so it does get chopped up. It will settle where it likes
