They can spread and get out of control quickly. Many people just live with them, but I think most people try to get rid of them. If you can remove the frag, take it out of the water and scrape the tube off down to the rock. Then rinse it with RODI water or tank water to make sure the snails get rinsed off before you put it back in the tank.
If you can't remove the frag, you can just use something hard (I have metal tongs I use) to scrape it off inside the tank and hope that you either smush the snail as you're doing that or it dies before it can plant somewhere else.
If they get out of hand, I and others have had success with bumblebee snails. The downside is that they will also eat some desirable inverts.
