Any ideas wtf this white stuff is?

Pineapple sponges and those annoying, tiny white tube worms that tend to grow everywhere. I don't know what the tiny tube worms are called but they grow in the most annoying places.
Should I try to remove them?
Er, these look like hydroids to me... and yes, I would remove them.
They are definitely pineapple sponges, at least the tube shaped ones. The other also aren’t hydroids, unless those have somehow managed to evolve to build a “skeleton” around themselves.
Looks to me like a variety of things. Definitely some pineapple sponges, spirorbid worms, and a couple feather dusters. Maybe also vermetid snails? They are normally purple though, unless they are long dead.
I think given the quantity I'm going to clean out most of it just to be safe.
Pineapple sponge. Totally ok to leave alone.

You won’t be able to completely remove all the sponges, they will just be back in about a week. These sponges are fine, you don’t need to remove them.
